transpixel We couldn't get the scanner to work, so I took a picture with the digital camera instead. Bit of a screwup in the sketch though, he's supposed to be holding the spear in his left hand.

transpixel The gimp sure made it easy to clean this up (and subsequently add colours). I'm never going back to paintbrush again! Oops... his spear is in the wrong hand...

transpixel The wonder of computers let me easily fix the problem of the spear in the wrong hand. This image was made using the gimp's "old photo" script. I quite like it. I may use it for the card in the end... I'm not sure yet.

transpixel This is pretty close to the finished product. The idea is to make an advanced D&D type card of this friendly character that we met last week in Multivariable Calculus. I may do more if I meet suitable characters.
So in any case, the final touches may include changing the background, fixing the gold/brown border width, finessing the integral dx sign, and making a header. I'm not sure exactly how to go about doing that... I hope to have the final version out soon, although I should really be doing more studying and less learning about the gimp and rediscovering my skills of an artist... transpixel
